The TOPGREENER TDTS5-W Air Circulator Timer is a countdown timer switch designed for fresh air fans. This device ensures that you never forget to run the air circulator and that it is never left on by mistake. It can be used to replace your in-wall switch or receptacle, providing a simple yet satisfying home upgrade.
The timer features a manual ON/OFF button, allowing you to control the air circulator as you please. Once the fan has been turned on manually, it will shut off after a pre-selected amount of time to conserve energy. When the manual controls are not in use, the fan timer will turn on and off on its own to cycle out stagnant air. This hourly automation can be adjusted or turned off as needed.
The TDTS5-W is ideal for keeping indoor air fresh in both high humidity regions and colder regions where doors and windows may be closed for nearly 24 hours each day. It is specifically designed for air circulating fans, such as exhaust or ceiling fans, with motors rated no higher than 1/4HP.
The device features a fan-shaped LED indicator that lights up when the fresh air fan is in use. After any setting changes, the LED indicator will flash to let you know that the changes have been applied. The timer settings can be easily adjusted using the knobs located under the face cover.
Neutral wire is required for installation, and the TDTS5-W is compatible with newer homes. It is a single-pole switch, operating at 120VAC 60Hz with a 3A maximum fan load and a 1/4HP rated motor. Wall plates are sold separately, and the device is UL-Listed.
In addition to the TDTS5-W, Top Greener also offers the TDTOS5-W model, which includes a PIR motion sensor for added convenience. Both timers provide an easy and effective way to improve indoor air quality by running the air-circulator fan for a set amount of time each hour, automatically turning it off on an adjustable countdown timer.
